How fees work
Here is how paying works at an office with its own plan, in the order most patients ask.
Most patients here pay for their own care. You pay at the visit, or you join the Seagrape Plan and pay one set amount a year for routine visits. The plan is the practice's own membership; it is not insurance, and its term, how to cancel and the refund are on the plan page. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you're paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you schedule or any time you ask. It lists the visit, each step we expect and the fee for each.

Insurance we work with
We don't contract with insurance companies, so we are out of network with every plan, and we don't file claims. If your plan reimburses out-of-network care, our receipt lets you ask it to pay you back; the plan decides what it covers. We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP.

Receipts for reimbursement
After each visit we give you an itemized receipt. If you have a plan that reimburses out-of-network care, you can send it in. Whether the plan pays, and how much, is the plan's decision.

What the first visit includes
About an hour: a talk about what worries you, an exam by Dr. Barksdale and X-rays only if she needs them. If you need treatment, you leave with the estimate in writing.

Ask about a fee before you come
Anayeli can give you a range for a routine visit over the phone, and a written estimate for anything else.
